Join the Planning Committee

The Peace Lantern Ceremony planning committee makes the event happen. Committee members attend monthly meetings to make decisions, and taking on duties involved in creating the event: arranging transportation of supplies to and from the site, setting up and taking down the event, assembling and disassembling lanterns, lining up speakers and performers, etc.

Please use the form below to let us know you’re interested in joining the planning team.

In 2018, the lantern ceremony will be limited to committee members who attend monthly planning meetings and take on organizing the event, plus a small number of volunteers they may bring. We don't have the capacity (funding and volunteers) to present another huge, public event this year. The planning committee will organize the small 2018 gathering and set the stage for 2019.

I’d like to join the Peace Lantern Ceremony Planning Committee. Please contact me with meeting dates and details.
